About the Finserv News Channel

What is this all about and how will it help me?

Finserv News Channel. Design and develop your own personal news feed to be delivered at a frequency to suit you.

The channels contents are all generated by other users who are sharing news sources and sharing links to news articles.

The platform is designed to be simple to use. Watch the video demo of user Charlie Farley log in and change his email, change his feed profile, change his frequency and then post a news item to one of the channels. You can watch as Charlie does all of this in less than 2 minutes!

We all share links to information by sending email. This sharing is part of the culture of the net. It is a powerful and effective means of broadcasting information within a tight group of colleagues who share a common interest.

Nothing will ever replace the intimacy, immediacy and precisely relevant nature of an email from received a colleague who has sent you a link to an item which they know is particularly relevant to you.

The challenge is in attempting to emulate that personal precision and relevance, in delivering links to news and resources that any recipient/subscriber will value and to deliver them on the recipient's own terms.

The Finserv News Channel service is an attempt to address some of these challenges by providing a platform that allows the fine tuning of the delivery of these user generated news channels. The service attempts to emulate as much as possible the personal nature of a an email generated by a member of a small group, in that all of the news links are generated by your colleagues working in the profession and who themselves are subscribers and members of the service.

The channels link content come from the widest possible range of sources containing the broadest spectrum of interpretation, news, bias etc. The main stream press as well as trade sources and independent articles.

In practical terms it needs to be simple both for users who wish to publish and to configure subscriptions and delivery options with a few clicks of a mouse.
